Macy will be at the Las Cruces International Film Festival to accept his award at the VIP party and he will also host a screening and a Q&A session for his Academy award-winning film "Fargo." The screening will be held on March 3rd at 7 p.m.

According to the Albuquerque Journal, Macy will also speak at New Mexico State University about his career. Ross Marks, the founder of the LCIFF, said Macy was the perfect choice for the film festival as a self-proclaimed "everyman":

“(The award) has become a very respected award going back to Danny Trejo and most recently Richard Dreyfuss. We wanted to honor an actor with versatility and longevity. We are a blue-collar film festival and we felt that he really fit the bill because he’s the working man’s actor.”

You can see past recipients of this award at the Las Cruces International Film Festival website.
