The state of Arizona is known for many things, but did you know that being haunted could be added to that list? Many people may not think Arizona and the paranormal go hand in hand, but there are actually several, supposedly, very haunted locations in the state.

Whether you believe in ghosts, or simply like visiting spooky locations, these 9 allegedly haunted Arizona spots might be right up your alley.

How haunted is Arizona?

Travel Chanel gathered data from shows like Ghost Adventures, Kindred Spirits, and Portals to hell to compile a list of the most haunted states in America. Topping this list at #4 is Arizona.

From hotels to graveyards, and towns, Arizona has plenty of paranormal sites to visit. And quite possibly even see a ghost at!

Apparently, Arizona's ties to the Wild West play a part in its haunting history. Outlaws were rampant in Arizona -- particularly in the areas of Tombstone and Jerome. Those who refused to pass are rumored to still haunt the locations today.

Would you visit these haunted locations?

Paranormal lovers would have a great time exploring the spooky side of Arizona. There is plenty to see.

As for me, I wouldn't call myself a skeptic because I do believe in ghosts to an extent, but there are times when I don't know how much I believe. For example, places advertised as being haunted seem fishy. Sometimes these 'haunted' locations appear more like a ploy to bring in visitors rather than true paranormal hotspots.

I would have to check it out for myself -- the only issue is that I don't really want to see any paranormal activity. I'd probably stick with me in the worst of ways. But who knows, maybe one day I'll check out these 9 haunted places in Arizona:
