Here's a chance to put a few miles on the bike, help a worthy cause and have some fun in nearby Alamogordo.

Saturday, the Bataan memorial Bike Run takes place in Alamogordo to honor Father Albert Braun and to raise money for the Wounded Warrior project and the Saint Joesph's restoration fund. Registration begins at 9:00am at American Legion Post 34, 20880 US-70.

Everybody rolls at 10:45am to the Saint Joseph's Apache Mission in Mescalero, NM. While there, a wreath will be laid upon the grave of Father Braun; a decorated veteran known as the "Warrior Priest" and a survivor of WW II's infamous Bataan Death March.

Following the ride, at the American Legion, there will be plenty of food, drinks, entertainment and lots of prizes that you could win. Alamogordo is about 80 miles from El Paso via Highway 54 North. (From Las Cruces, take Highway 70.) For more info, click here.
