WTF Wednesday: Man Wrongfully Imprisoned, Wife Gets Paid [POLL]

Yep ……. He did the time, she got the cash.

Steven Phillips was convicted of sex crimes back in the 80s.  While he was locked up, his wife divorced him.

DNA tests finally proved his innocence and, after 24 years in prison, he was released!  He was also given a compensation package for this little “oops” of around 6 million dollars.

Helluva way to get rich, but at least he’s out and can move on now right?

Not just yet.  Not until after his ex-wife gets a taste of the cash anyway.  She, Traci Tucker, filed a claim for some of the money.  And WON!?!?

A judge awarded her $150,000.

WTF????
