Maybe this is why they have "Happy Feet?" What the heck did I just watch.

WARNING: The video may be disturbing to some people.

It may be cold in the sub-Antartic Indian Ocean, but things are heating up between some seals and penguins on Marion Island. Fur seals have been caught on camera having sex with King penguins on the island. Now, this isn't consensual sex by any means, the seals are forcing themselves upon the penguins, and having their way with them. This behavior has been seen at least four times, and it has been captured on film and published in Polar Biology.

The first time this behavior was seen was only once before in 2006, and scientists didn't know if this was an aggressive action, an inexperienced young male seal or something playful that turned sexual. Now with the four new cases, scientists are wondering what is behind this behavior. In all four instances, you see the seals running after the penguins, catching them, then mounting them for sex.

The seals have sex with the penguins several times, about 5 minutes long each time. The seals are all male, but the gender of the penguins chosen are unknown. In the most recent case, the penguin was seen with blood in between its feet. In three of the cases, the penguins are let go after the assault, but in one case the seal actually kills and eats the penguin after.

Check out the video above and see for yourself.
