Metallica is playing tonight and you know things are going to get crazy! The traffic, the pre-gaming, and that would include you too. We all have been waiting for this moment to finally arrive! Shoot, it has been way overdue for Metallica to come back to the Sun City. The last time they played in El Paso, Texas was on May 12, 1986, at the County Coliseum. A total of 5,250 can fit inside the County Coliseum while 11,892 can fit into the Don Haskins Center. I know we wish Metallica could have played at the Sun Bowl but we should be grateful they’re making us a part of their stop. The band is working up the concert venue ladder since they first started coming to El Paso. They first performed at The Big Apple back on March 2, 1985, and came back the following year. They returned to our current residence on May 12, 1986, and performed at the County Coliseum. Since the overdue visit, they’re finally back after so long and will be performing at the next biggest venue, the Don Haskins Center. This will be my very first time seeing a band that holds quite the legend.
