Check out this video of the amazing rescue in Rochester, Minnesota.

In a new body cam video released from the Rochester Police Department, officers rescued a man who was stuck in his burning vehicle.

The video was released on Saturday and it shows the moments right after they pulled the 65 year-old Catholic priest from his vehicle. The accident happened on Thursday night and when police arrived, the car was already engulfed in smoke. Police broke a window and were able to get the driver out, and then drag him to safety.

Firefighters said that the man would have most likely died if it wasn't for the brave efforts of the officers on scene. According to Rochester Deputy Fire Chief Vance Swisher from CBS Local in Minnesota,

“It appears the vehicle was fully charged with smoke which indicated the individual inside the vehicle was breathing products of combustion, which means they were already become disoriented to having some type of deficit from the environment they’re in.”

The driver of the vehicle is believed to have been drunk at the time of the accident and could face charges. He was taken to the hospital.
