Sometimes a selfie is better than a mugshot. Actually almost always.

A man in Lima, Ohio recently sent police a picture of himself, after seeing his mugshot and deciding it was unflattering. Donald “Chip” Pugh was supposed to appear in court last week and failed to show up. Police put his mugshot up on their Facebook page, notifying the public that he was a wanted man. According to the post,

Mr. Pugh is also currently a person of interest in several other cases including an arson and vandalism. If you know the whereabouts of Donald Pugh, please contact the Lima Police Department, the Allen County S.O. or the Shawnee Twp Police Department. You can also contact Allen County CrimeStoppers.

The post worked, but instead of Pugh turning himself in, he sent police something else.

A new photo.

This photo was sent to us by Mr. Pugh himself. We thank him for being helpful, but now we would appreciate it if he would come speak to us at the LPD about his charges.

Apparently Mr Pugh didn't think his other two mugshots were very flattering so he decided to give them a better one. The police department decided that they would put his "better" photo online, but still asked that he turn himself in.

After the photo went viral, Pugh decided to embrace his newfound internet fame. He recently appeared on a local radio show after he was featured as their "Idiot of the Day" to discuss his internet fame.

"They just did me wrong. They put a picture out that had me looking like I was a Thundercat or somebody, man."

He also told the radio show who was his hero as a child, which may be a tell tale sign that he doesn't plan on turning himself in. He said he loved the gingerbread man.

“My hero was this character, who used to say, ‘Run, run, fast as you can. You can’t catch me, I’m the gingerbread man."

Keep running Pugh. Keep running.
