El Paso's "local locos" are some of the best musicians in the country. Hell, two countries for that matter. For all of you who are on, or about to hit, the road, here are a few tips from one of your own.

Murder FM, who recently landed a major record label deal with Famous Records Global, will be touring soon and a stop back home in El Paso is expected in September. For all of you road warriors, here are a few pearls of wisdom from the Murder FM-ers who have done more than their fair share of touring!

  • Head counts! Turning around 50 miles down the road to go back for your Xylophone player sucks. And it's embarrassing. Stay together, no matter how hot the girl at the lunch counter is.
  • Febreeze, baby powder and baby wipes. I think these are self-explanatory.
  • Always know where you are and where you are going. No one wants to tell you for the 50th time that El Paso is next, it's "x" hours to get there and the show is at 7.

Hint to tour managers on that last one, print your day sheets on color, full-page pics from magazines like Playboy, Hustler, etc. Pretty much guarantees that your band will read them. Repeatedly.
