Most people know how important sleep is. I certainly do. I've struggled with sleep for over 20 years now. The one thing I have learned though, is that the easiest solution to dealing with it, is don't fight it. But it is easier for me than others because I can nap during the day. I have no problems not being able to fall asleep until 10 or 11pm and get up at 3am, because I know I can nap.

There are people though, who don't necessarily struggle with sleep, they just don't prioritize it. Even with the knowledge of how important it is, they are still willing to miss out on it. Here are the things that people prioritize more than sleep.

  • 46% of people say that spending time with your family is more important than sleep.
  • 43% would rather spend time with their significant other than sleep.
  • 30% say that watching TV or a movie is worth missing sleep over.
  • And now for the worst. 30% of people say that sending work emails is more important than sleep.
