Texas Icon Kinky Friedman to Visit El Paso Next Week

Singer. Songwriter. Best-selling author. Texas Gubernatorial candidate. Close friend of Willie Nelson.

All of these describe the one and only Kinky Friedman. Kinky will be in El Paso the day after Thanksgiving to perform a very small, intimate show at Star City Studios at 120 W. Castellano on the west side of El Paso.

Kinky is the man who wrote such all-time classics as “Get Your Biscuits in the Oven and Your Buns in the Bed”, “They Ain’t Makin’ Jews Like Jesus Anymore” and performed the most famous version of the Chinga Chavin song, “As*hole from El Paso”.

That video is from the only episode of “Austin City Limits” that was filmed…but never aired.

There only selling about 100 tickets for this show. Tickets will be $40 and you can buy them by going to this link.

Kinky will also do a Q and A with the crowd and will take pictures and sign autographs. Again, the show is Friday, November 29th, the day after Thanksgiving.

Also performing will be Cleve Hattersley of the famous Greezy Wheels band out of Austin, Texas.
