As someone who was born and raised in Texas, the mass migration of Californians never bothered me. I never fully understood the rage and the common complaint of "Don't California My Texas" that is until now...

Texans, and the general public, are having a field day roasting a poor meteorologist from California who bravely decided one day to give us all a hot "pro-tip" on what to do to be healthier at a Mexican restaurant, check out what her "pro tip" is below:

That's right, her pro tip is to switch out the tostadas you typically get when you go to a Mexican restaurant with cucumbers.

Now, don't get me wrong, cucumbers are indeed delicious; and chances are that they will have them at any restaurant. Also, I am sure that the restaurant will happily accommodate but Texans were not having it!

Over in the group "You know you're from Texas when" the original post, which has been deleted, had over 800 comments and over a thousand reactions! Some of the main comments said something to the likes of:

Nah , Texans ain't doing that.... don't f*ck with our chips and salsa

It's true, we love our chips and salsa here. However, the heat she's getting seems a bit too much. To her credit, Alissa Schwartz is a meteorologist in LA, but she is also a certified health coach. Schwartz also has photos on her social media pages of her health journey- where she shares her weight loss.

So it's possible that if you too are on a health journey, Schwartz just wanted to give you a little tip in case you also wanted to be healthy at a Mexican restaurant. And to be honest, I would get the cucumbers too, but I'd also get the chips and salsa- don't take those from me!
