This year's San Diego Comic-Con may not have felt as over-stuffed as years passed, but that didn't mean the convention floor wasn't still jam-packed with incredible cosplay. The annual event is still home to some of the biggest and brightest cosplayers in the 'verse, and we were reminded just how talented and creative comic book fans can be when roaming the show floor this year. We managed to track down some fantastic highlights on Saturday, and captured them for all of you to witness here.

As successful as Marvel Studios has become, there’s still one thing we haven’t seen yet: a major movie crossover with other Marvel characters owned by different movie studios. Imagine Spider-Man and the X-Men fighting alongside the Avengers—it would be the biggest film ever. Unfortunately, as the rights to these characters all belong to different companies, we might not see such a crossover in the near future. However, in a new interview, Marvel comics creator and icon Stan Lee addresses the potential for a major multi-studio crossover, and it’s the most hopeful answer we’ve gotten yet.

For anyone who remembers the days when just one Spider-Man movie seemed an impossible dream, the above infographic is an astonishing representation of how comic book superheroes now dominate popular entertainment. ComicsAlliance’s own graphics maestro Dylan Todd put together this timeline that reveals what the next six years of superhero movies look like, with some dates and titles still to be announced. On Monday, the New York man who uploaded an unfinished and unreleased “workprint” of ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’ to the internet in March of 2009 was sentenced to serve one year in prison.
