These are busy times for Mark Tremonti. The guitarist extraordinaire is balancing two projects, currently working in the studio with Alter Bridge while trying to keep the momentum of his solo self-titled band still going during their downtime. Tremonti offered a pair of status updates, one in written and the other in video form, on both of his acts.
Mark Tremonti is currently winding down the latest North American tour leg for his self-titled band, and Alter Bridge are about to become his primary focus. The guitarist tells Billboard that after meeting briefly earlier this year, the band is ready to resume work on a new disc and has the beginnings of the effort in place.

Over the years as a member of Creed and Alter Bridge, guitarist Mark Tremonti has taken the opportunity to play for and meet members of the military, and now that he's out on the road with his own self-titled band, that tradition continues.
Mark Tremonti has hit the road for his first solo tour, with his new band and Wolfgang Van Halen on bass. He's filming seemingly everything that's going on during the tour, and is posting them up on his YouTube channel and Fret12 (which is his guitar-geek channel).
Mark Tremonti's a busy, busy guy, with Creed back together this year, Alter Bridge continuing to kick ass, and his new solo album out. He's about to hit the road to support his solo CD "All I Was", and he's working with his touring band, which just so happens to include Wolfgang Van Halen on bass! This year marks a big one in Creed’s musical trajectory, as the post-grunge boys are commemorating the 15th anniversary of their fundamental 1997 album, ‘My Own Prison,’ with a cross-country tour. Singer Scott Stapp, guitarist Mark Tremonti, bass player Brian Marshall and drummer Scott Phillips will play their ‘My Own Prison’ and ‘Human Clay’ albums back-to-back on different evenings of the trek, so expect to hear plenty of hits and more obscure cuts, to boot.
