Every year, we get together and exchanged gifts for Christmas, Hanukkah, Festivus...and we spend time trying to think of the perfect gift for everyone on the list. Usually we do a pretty good job, but sometimes things come out a little wonky. Maybe it was Uncle Raul who likes Barry White, and not that Slayer CD you gave him? Who knows.

What weird gift did you get this year? Something that made you think, "What the HELL were they thinking?"

Today is apparently "Christmas in July". Did I get anything? Nope. Did I get anyone else something? Not really, just a contribution to a retirement gift for one of the nicest ladies I know. But this made me remember a conversation I had a few weeks ago during a wedding, when I learned that people don't shop using the baby/wedding registries!
What kind of stupidity is this?
