Let’s face it, there is no love lost between Courtney Love and Foo Fighters frontman / Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl. In the trailer for her new YouTube Channel, Love recently went as far as asking her public, “Is there anybody on the planet who would be watching this that doesn’t know that Dave Grohl and I don’t get along?” The two have had some very public spats throughout the years, stemming back to the rights held by Love and subsequent use of Nirvana music in the wake of Kurt Cobain’s passing.
Camp Freddy recently kicked off their 7th annual Christmas residency at the Roxy Theatre in West Hollywood, Calif. on Dec. 19-21. The first two nights served up plenty of guest star action including a special appearance by Courtney Love.
Courtney Love has long held the rights to much of the Kurt Cobain estate — or so we thought — a new report says that the unpredictably outspoken singer has lost the rights to her late husband’s image to their daughter, Frances Bean Cobain.
This isn't the first time lead Foo Fighter Dave Grohl has felt the wrath of Kurt Cobain's widow but the latest accusation is a little creepier than the typical "you don't deserve all that Nirvana money" rant.
Look out Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy. Courtney Love is on the warpath. According to TMZ, the latest claim out of Love is that the Muppets “raped” the memory of her husband, the late Kurt Cobain of Nirvana, with the way the plush puppets handled his signature song ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ in the 2011 film. Furthermore, Court claims that the powers-that-be- used the song without her permission.
Courtney Love has apparently approved a forthcoming book about Kurt Cobain written by her former Hole bandmate Eric Erlandson, on the condition he leaves out details of the relationship between himself and Love.
It wouldn’t be a normal month in the news if we didn’t hear at least one off-the-wall story about Courtney Love — and just in time for Christmas, she’s given us a doozy, getting evicted from her New York townhouse for outlandish and destructive (read: totally Courtney) behavior.
