Slipknot and Stone Sour vocalist Corey Taylor recently worked with Foo Fighters frontman / ex-Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl on his secret side-project, as well as an upcoming music documentary. Grohl’s new project is being recorded on the subject of the upcoming documentary — the famous mixing board that used to reside at Sound City Studios, where Nirvana’s ‘Nevermind’ and Slipknot’s ‘Iowa’ were both recorded.
It’s understandable if you think you know a lot about Corey Taylor. After all, the media often trumpets his outspoken comments, including those about other artists. Yet, the frontman of Slipknot and Stone Sour is much more complex than the headlines would portray.
Corey Taylor had one hell of a year in 2011. STONE SOUR and SLIPKNOT frontman Corey Taylor played the fourth show of his solo tour this past Friday night (November 18) at Trees in Dallas, Texas. Called "An Evening With Corey Taylor", the concerts feature Taylor doing both spoken-word and acoustic performances, along with question-and-answer sessions with the audience.
When asked by an audience member about his experience working with legendary producer Rick Rubin , Corey said....
I'm really excited about the new album! Wasn't too thrilled for Audio Secrecy though. I've been a fan for a long time, so let's see what happens in the new album.

Corey Taylor may not be getting his hands on the vacant frontman slot in Velvet Revolver but the Slipknot/Stone Sour singer could be set to hook up with one of the members of the supergroup to form a brand new splinter band.
First he said he wasn't going to work with Velvet Revolver....now he is??
