2011 was a great time in music and dancing. At the time, LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem" was the jam of the summer- it also brought along the dance craze "shuffling". No, not like shuffling a deck of cards, the dance.

According to this website, shuffling has been around way before LMFAO were partying rocking.

The Shuffle dance was developed in the 1980s, it is improvised dancing where the person repeatedly “shuffles” the feet inwards, then outwards, while thrusting their arms up and down, or side to side, in time with the beat.

I think this video from LMFAO would better explain it.

"Everyday I'm shuffling" was definitely the motto back in 2011. It was at the clubs, at the EDM festivals and apparently at the blacktop during lunch at school.

Since I've been at home quarantining, I've of course been scrolling through TikTok and noticed that shuffling is possibly making a comeback, or at the very least, it is on TikTok. Check out this guy who says shuffling was a common thing for him during lunch:

This guy says he's totally bringing this era back, and it's possible, his videos have over 100,000 views!

And he has others joining in, even sharing their early videos of them shuffling:

And it's bringing back the memories for many!

I have to admit, this is a dance trend I never did, not because I thought it was dumb but because I can't shuffle! Luckily for me, there's tutorials on TikTok!

So, is it time to bring this dance craze back? Hells yeah it is. Looks, it's 2021, it's been a crazy year and a half- let people bring back the fads that make them happy!
