El Paso is having road construction all over the city. Find out where, when and what hours Eastside streets will have construction this week.

The City of El Paso is working hard to make the streets better and easier for people to travel on in the future. Unfortunately, this means for the next few months and maybe years we will be dealing with more traffic than normal on various sides of town.

Here are the road closures and lane restrictions for this week, September 12th through the 18th:

Joe Battle, Montana, Bob Hope Area

Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. (at different times throughout the day and at different locations)

Alternate north and southbound entrance and exit ramp closures along Joe Battle (Loop 375) between the Bob Hope overpass and the Montana overpass
Alternate north and southbound right and left lane closures along Joe Battle Boulevard between the Montana overpass and the Bob Hope overpass
Alternate north and southbound turnaround closures along Joe Battle Boulevard between the Bob Hope overpass and the Montana overpass

Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

North and southbound right lane closure on Joe Battle (Loop 375) between the Bob Hope overpass and the Montana overpass

The above closures are necessary for guardrail and electrical work.

Edgemere and Vista Del Sol Overpass

Thursday, September 15th, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. (overnight)

Complete northbound lane closure on Edgemere overpass
Complete southbound lane closure on Vista Del Sol overpass

Crews are installing sign bridges.

Spalling Repair

Sunday, Sept. 11

9 p.m. to 5 a.m. (the following morning)

Complete closure of I-10 eastbound between the Lee Trevino exit ramp to Lee Trevino entrance ramp

Monday, Sept. 12, and Tuesday, Sept. 13

9 p.m. to 5 a.m. (the following morning)

Complete closure of I-10 westbound between the Lee Trevino exit ramp to Lomaland entrance ramp

Pothole Project

Monday, Sept. 12, through Friday, Sept. 16

9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Eastbound right lane closure on Alameda Avenue (SH 20) at Prado Road

Crews will be repairing potholes.

North Loop (FM 76) Project

Monday, Sept. 12, through Friday, Sept. 16

9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Stedham Circle at North Loop Road (FM 76) will be completely closed while crews install a new water main.

Monday through Friday

9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (daily operation until further notice)

Daily alternate lane closures at the North Loop/Rio Vista Boulevard intersection
Daily alternate lane closures at the North Loop/Moon Road intersection
Moon Road north of North Loop Road (FM 76) and India Court will be completely closed.
Moon Road north of North Loop Road (FM 76) and Valle De Oro Drive will be completely closed.

Crews are placing hot mix and concrete paving, traffic signals, and drainage, as well as sidewalks, illumination and water mains.

The following closures will remain in place until further notice:

East and westbound shoulders along North Loop Road between Americas Avenue and Horizon Boulevard
Old Hueco Tanks Road between North Loop Road (FM 76) and Stedham Circle
North Loop (FM 76) east and westbound traffic has been placed onto the newly constructed pavement with one lane opened in each direction between Rio Vista Road and Lark Street.
Old Hueco Tanks Road northbound between North Loop Road and Karachi Way is now completely closed while crews install a new water main.

M F Aguilera Project

Monday through Friday

6 a.m. to 7 p.m. (daily operation until further notice)

East and westbound mainlane closure on Alameda Avenue (SH 20) between Manuel F. Aguilera Highway and Valle Verde Drive

Note: Alameda Avenue (SH 20) east and westbound shoulders between M F Aguilera (southbound) and Valle Verde remain closed until further notice.

Bridge Rail Project

Monday, Sept. 12, through Friday, Sept. 16

9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Northbound right lane closure on Joe Battle Boulevard between Paseo Del Este Boulevard and Bob Hope Drive
Right lane closure on Gateway South at the McCombs/US 54 intersection
Southbound right lane closure on McCombs (FM 2529) at Gateway South
Right lane closure on Gateway South at McCombs Drive (FM 2529)

Crews will be installing metal beam guardrail.

Shoulder Work Project

Monday, Sept. 12, through Friday, Sept. 16

9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Westbound right lane closure on Montana Avenue (US 62/180) between Tierra Este Boulevard and Joe Battle Boulevard

Daily operation until further notice:

North and southbound closure of the Iron Medics entrance ramps along the Purple Heart Memorial Highway (Loop 375)

Maintenance Project

Monday through Friday (daily operation until further notice)

9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

South and northbound alternate left and right lane closures on Joe Battle Boulevard between Montana Avenue (US 62/180) and Rojas Drive
All entrance and exit ramps along this same section will be closed.

Crews will be sweeping and removing litter from this area.

Carolina Bridge Project

Carolina Bridge is closed between Stiles Drive/Franklin Drive and Alameda Avenue (SH 20) until further notice.

Crews have demolished the existing bridge, and the reconstruction of the new bridge has begun.

Deceleration Lane/Driveway Project

(NOTE: This is not a TxDOT project.)

Expect these closures every Monday through Friday until further notice:

Southbound right lane closure on Joe Battle Boulevard at Edgemere Boulevard
Northbound right lane closure on Zaragoza Boulevard (FM 659) at Sun Fire Boulevard
Southbound right lane closure on Zaragoza Boulevard (FM 659) at Tierra Este Boulevard
Eastbound right lane closure on Montana Avenue (US 62/180) at Tierra Este Boulevard/Justice
Southbound right lane closure on Zaragoza Boulevard (FM 659) at Edgemere Boulevard
Westbound right lane closure on Montana Avenue (US 62/180) at Rich Beam Boulevard
Eastbound right lane closure on Montana Avenue (US 62/180) between Tierra Este Boulevard and Rich Beam Boulevard

I-10/Americas - Phase III Project

Friday, Sept. 9, through Friday, Sept. 16

7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Complete closures (at different times and at different locations):

Joe Battle (Loop 375) southbound between the south to westbound connector ramp and Americas interchange
Americas (Loop 375) northbound between the north to westbound connector ramp and Americas interchange
I-10 westbound between the west to northbound connector ramp and Americas interchange
Gateway East between Americas exit ramp and Eastlake exit ramp
Americas Avenue northbound between Americas entrance ramp to Gateway East
I-10 eastbound between the east to southbound connector ramp and Americas interchange
Gateway West lanes between Eastlake Drive and RV Drive will be closed.

Crews will be doing bridge work.

Operational Improvement Projects

Monday through Friday

9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (at different times throughout the day and at different locations)

I-10 west and eastbound right shoulder closures between the Zaragoza overpass and Viscount/Hunter overpass
I-10 east and westbound left shoulder closures between the Viscount/Hunter overpass and the Zaragoza overpass
Alternate right and left lane closures along Gateway West and Gateway East between the Viscount/Hunter intersections and Zaragoza intersection
I-10 east and westbound alternate entrance and exit ramps will be closed between the Viscount/Hunter intersections and Zaragoza intersection.

These closures are necessary for miscellaneous work.

All work is dependent on weather conditions and remember to follow all detour signs in the areas.
