A new study has just been released by Wallethub breaking down uninsured rates in cities all over the country. Find out where El Paso came in on the list.

The national uninsured rate is at a record low right now of only 8.6 percent. With this information, the finance website Wallethub decided to conduct an in-depth analysis of this year's Uninsured Rates by City and State.

Wallethub looked at 548 U.S. cities as well as all 50 states then the analysts took those number and broke them down by age, race/ethnicity and income.

Here is where El Paso ranked on the finance website's study:

Uninsured Rates in El Paso (1=Lowest; 274=Avg.):

  • 512th – Overall Uninsured Rate (18.47%)
  • 147th – Change in Uninsured Rate Between 2015 & 2010 (-9.33%)
  • 462nd – Children’s Uninsured Rate (7.50%)
  • 514th – Adults’ Uninsured Rate (22.66%)
  • 418th – Whites’ Uninsured Rate (8.95%)
  • 214th – Blacks’ Uninsured Rate (11.42%)
  • 250th – Hispanics’ Uninsured Rate (20.73%)
  • 509th – Lower-Income Households’ Uninsured Rate (24.61%)
  • 490th – Higher-Income Households’ Uninsured Rate (9.49%)

El Paso ranks 512th overall and 61st among large cities, and Texas has the highest uninsured rate (17.10%) in the nation.
