Indiana Jones & the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008)

Harrison Ford is known for some iconic roles whether it's Han Solo or Indiana Jones. If you've watched the 4th installment of the Indiana Jones series, Indiana Jones & the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, it was indeed filmed in Las Cruces. The Hangar 51 scene was shot just west of the Las Cruces International Airport.

Brokeback Mountain (2005)

Yes the movie that gave us Heath Ledger & Jake Gyllenhal as cowboys was shot in La Mesilla. There's quite a few scenes that were shot in La Mesilla & there were mentions to Juarez, Mexico too.

Transformers (2007)

Fans of the Michael Bay Transformers movies might be surprised to know that the first few installments of the series were partially filmed in White Sands, New Mexico. The first & 2nd movie, Revenge of the Fallen, each had scenes shot in White Sands & Alamogordo, New Mexico.

Lolita (1997)

The 1997 film, Lolita featuring Jeremy Irons, Dominique Swain & Melanie Griffith, based on the novel by Vladimir Nabokov, is shot in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Traffic (2000)

Starring Michael Douglas, Benicio Del Toro & Catherine Zeta Jones, the 2000 film Traffic was also filmed in Las Cruces. Fun fact: Benicio Del Toro would win Best Actor in Supporting Award during the 2000 Academy Awards; the film would win 3 addition awards.

Wild Hogs (2007)

Martin Lawrence, Tim Allen, John Travolta & William Macy play bikers that take a trip on the Pacific Coast. A lot of their trip take place between Albuquerque, Madrid & over the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge. Most notably...Maggie's Diner in Madrid.

Avengers (2012)

The huge superhero smash hit that's over a decade old, The Avengers was partially shot in Albuquerque; many of which were shot at the Albuquerque Studios.

Fort Bliss (2014)

The movie that's named after the military base, Fort Bliss was indeed shot AT Fort Bliss. While most people know it to be set in El Paso, the base is set in both Texas AND New Mexico (with many of its training grounds in New Mexico).

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)

While we know Batman lives in Gotham & Superman in Metropolis, the movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was partially filmed in Deming, New Mexico.

Hang 'Em High (1968)

We wrap up this movie list with a classic featuring Clint Eastwood, his 1968 film Hang Em High. From June 21st to July 1st, parts of the movie were shot along the Rio Grande River in Las Cruces. This certainly wouldn't be the last time we would see Clint film in New Mexico either.

Bonus Mention - El Camino (2019)

Yes it's a bonus mention because we know the Breaking Bad series is most known for being shot in Albuquerque. I wanted to include 10 other movies you probably didn't know but the show (and movie) are SO well known, I had to make a bonus mention here.
