TxDot is creeping even more into the northeast now, find out what they're up to tonight!

TxDot wants to tear up a little more of El Paso, this time in the Northeast. A meeting is being held tonight, from 5pm to 7pm, at the Trans Mountain Community College campus so you can offer your opinion. The plan, according to CBS4local.com, affects a 3mile stretch of US-54 and will add:

a lane in both directions on US-54, as well as adding U-turns on both sides of Diana, Transmountain and Hondo Pass. The project is anticipated to cost between $36-$40 million.

TxDot spokesperson Jennifer Wright told CBS that the project is scheduled for August 2017. Short notice on the meeting but, if you can make it, you should definitely go. Ask questions, particularly if you own or operate a business in that area and make your voice heard!
