Local Bands 101 – Volume 24: Tragic Landing

Tragic Landing is an American alternative rock band from El Paso, Texas that formed in 2016. The group consists of lead vocalist Adam Tellez, drummer Eric Prieto, guitarist and keyboardist Paul Ward, and bassist D Arellano. They draw heavily from influences in electronic music, psychedelic rock, and jam band styles, i.e.: Radiohead, Sigur Ros, Mutemath, etc., utilizing guitars, drums, as well as keyboards, synthesizers, and other electronic instruments.

These guys are no strangers to the music industry, while involved with other musical projects, they worked with well-known producers, and have shared the stage with a variety of world-renowned acts. Previous projects were on the heavier side of rock, channeled through mainly distorted guitars, but now, the creative process has changed, developing its style through the experimentation of a variety of sounds from keys and percussion to guitars and everything else in-between; the sky's the limit. Layered with a powerful and melodic voice, their objective is simple: make music that is beautiful, catchy, heartfelt, and all around pleasing to the listener's ear; they merely want to make good music.
