Longtime friend of KLAQ and former morning show co-host Big Al Jones passed away this past weekend. Donate to his funeral and family's fund here.

A man with a larger than life personality and a glowing spirit that can never be forgotten, KLAQ lost one of our family members this past weekend. Big Al Jones was a longtime local radio personality who worked various shifts on KLAQ, from morning show co-host and even stayed as a part-time DJ in the family. Big Al was a familiar face at many KLAQ events and could be seen manning the DJ booth or walking around, with a welcoming smile for all to see. Ever the lover of giving hugs, Big Al always took the time out to hang out with listeners and was a beloved memeber of the KLAQ family up until his passing.

The last few years of Al's life were filled with some medical hardships, but he was a survivor of cancer and persevered through it all with a positive outlook and was an inspiration.

With the sudden shock of his death, his family was not prepared for the final expenses, including his funeral. A Go Fund Me has been set up by his former morning show co-host Courtney Nelson to help with funeral expenses and anything else will be put into a fund for his son, Logan. If you can, anything helps and you can donate to his fund here.

Rest In Peace, brother. If there is one thing that makes us smile, it's the thought that you're rocking the afterlife with Scott Ronson now.
