If your route sometimes includes taking Scenic Drive to get from one side of town to the other, drive with caution. The other night I was driving along Piedmont and came across a deer. Now usually most deer quickly veer except this particular deer didn't and slowly moved on to a yard. Other times most deer quickly get out of the way and dash like a bat out of hell. So when this deer calmly got out of the way I pulled over and called out to it.

The deer just stayed there staring while I was doing the same and taking a couple of pictures. Another time I came across a deer was on North Mesa street but it was around 5:30 in the morning. They have said that when deer make their way on to busy streets is because of a drought. But whatever the case is hopefully you drive with extra caution since the deers are popping up in front of our headlights.
