How You Will Get Your Government Stimulus Check

Now that they've approved the bill to award 'em, here's how we'll get 'em.

The President just signed an order to offer relief checks to all, adult Americans in order to provide some relief from the economic impact of COVID 19.  Almost every American and almost every business, national or local, has suffered financially from all the business closings, slowdowns, layoffs, furloughs, and firings.

The checks should arrive via direct deposit for most of us. If you don't have direct deposit, click here for more info. Here are the basic requirements to receive benefits:

Tax filers with adjusted gross income up to $75,000 for individuals and up to $150,000 for married couples filing joint returns will receive the full payment. For filers with income above those amounts, the payment amount is reduced by $5 for each $100 above the $75,000/$150,000 thresholds. Single filers with income exceeding $99,000 and $198,000 for joint filers with no children are not eligible. - irs.gov
