Help Hurricane Harvey Animal Rescues This Sunday In El Paso

This Sunday, El Pasoans will Unite To Help Hurricane Harvey Animal Rescues! Come out and do your part to be Texas Strong!

With all the horrific things that are happening on the other side of the Lone Star State due to Hurricane Harvey, many El Pasoans have been wondering what they can do to help. A group of locals, along with the Humane Society of El Paso, Austin Pets Alive, City of El Paso and more are throwing a fundraising and donation benefit this Sunday to support animal rescue efforts in Houston.

In addition to leaving thousands of people homeless, Hurricane Harvey has left thousands of defenseless pets orphaned as well. In partnership with the Humane Society of El Paso, we are doing our part to help as many animals and people as possible. This event’s main focus is to raise funds to offset the cost relocating displaced animals from the affected areas of Hurricane Harvey to El Paso where they will be paired with loving families. The event will accept donations of funds and supplies to help those animals and people affected by the hurricane.

This event is free and open to the public! It is family-friendly and all ages are invited to join us in supporting those in need due to Hurricane Harvey. This event will feature live music by bands and local DJs, a kids area with face painting, giant jingo and a splash pad, live visual art and a silent auction and more! The Humane Society of El Paso will also be having on-site adoptions to try and make room for the animals that will be brought in from Hurricane Harvey affected areas.

Come out and join us this Sunday, September 3rd from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. at San Jacinto Plaza in Downtown El Paso!

You can learn more about this event at the Facebook Event Page. If you are unable to attend this event, you can also donate to this cause through the Humane Society of El Paso.
