Godsmack Unleash New Single ’1000hp’

After teasing a snippet of the song last week, Godsmack have now unveiled their new single in its entirety. The tune, ’1000hp,’ also serves as the title track to the band’s upcoming album, which is expected to arrive in August.

After the track revs up, the song’s verses are autobiographical in nature, as frontman Sully Erna sings about the early struggles and ultimate rise of the band. The chorus, meanwhile, is a scorcher, with Erna bellowing, “Turn that s–t up louder / Make it all go faster / Play it through the witching hour / Take it to 1000 horsepower.”
