They didn't come in on motorcycles and wearing capes, but when Foxy Shazam walked in our Austin studio as we go live from SXSW, we knew it was them.

Loren Turner and Eric Nally say they've been together for 8 years and said they started playing together in the basement of their mom's house in Cincinnati. They said the music scene in Cincinnati is small but very supportive.

Buzz compared the band's showmanship and glam to that of Queen. Loren said he agrees that they're glam, but said to him, glam has always been a spirit, a presentation more than anything. "Yeah, we're glammers," he said.

The band released its fourth studio album, "The Church of Rock and Roll," was released in January 2012.
