Join KLAQ's Mardi Gras and Ericka Fuentes for the biggest Mardi Gras party on Saturday, March 5, 2011 stretching from El Paso Street to the front of the historic Plaza Theatre.  

Doors will open at 5:00 p.m. to a variety of bead booths, beer booths, food and beverage booths, street performers, plus two stages featuring a variety of local entertainment:

Admission is $5.00 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and then its $10.00 after 10:00 p.m. The Oasis Bistro and Lounge will be open as well as a portion of the Plaza Theatre.  

“We’re hoping to expand the areas participation within the entire Mardi Gras experience”, said Brad Dubow, VP/General Manager. “Our friends in Louisiana celebrate days of parades, party , thought it was time to stretch El Paso’s celebration by kicking off the festivities on the Saturday night prior to Fat Tuesday.
