This is one of those “only in El Paso” things. I’ve never seen it anywhere but here.
I’m talking about the signs that you find in various public restrooms throughout this great city.

Some are very straightforward, official-looking…

...and clearly tell you to put your soiled TP in the stool.  Others are of a dissenting opinion.

Wait, what? Throw it in the trash can?? AFTER you’ve used it???  I can’t believe that’s what they actually mean but who am I to doubt something in handwritten Comic Sans.

OK, I can’t help but feel this one is a little ambiguous. Do they mean “don’t throw anything OTHER than toilet paper”? If they really meant “anything” its seems like the word “anything” would be underlined in bold print. Instead, they choose “Do Not” for emphasis. Why so passive-aggressive, Management?

I learned a new Spanish word today! “Flashar” means “flush”. I’m so embarrassed! I’ve been saying “flush-o” all these years. So, is that with or without toilet paper in the bowl? Because, I feel like if the TP is in the trash-can, 3 flushes is just overkill.

Remember, if you ever see anything, toilet-related or not, feel free to send me a picture along with your tacit permission to use it on this site!
