El Pasoans Should Avoid Travel To Mexico

All Americans are being told to avoid Mexico and 39 other countries.

The United States Government issued a list of 40 40 countries Americans should avoid. Not surprising to see known "America haters" in the middle east and places like North Korea on the list but, the Bahamas? Mexico?

At the time the list was compiled, Hurricane Matthew was expected to hit the Bahamas, and nearby areas like Jamaica. Therefore, Americans living there were urged to return to the USA. and those traveling there were encouraged to pick another destination. Not Mexico though!

According to AOL.com:

Mexico is one of the more dangerous countries for American travelers. Though millions of Americans travel annually to popular tourist destination that are generally safe, much of the rest of country is unsafe due to regular violence tied to drug trafficking. Kidnapping, carjacking, robbery, and gun battles between rival gangs.
