Amazing El Paso Guitarist Semifinalist In National Blues Contest

An El Paso guitarist with amazing blues chops has got no reason to actually have the blues these days ... he and his bandmates made it to the semifinals of a national music contest.

Sam Barlow has been amazing audiences all over the Borderland for a few years now ang just ... somehow ... keeps getting better.

He has taken his talents way beyond El Paso as far as performing and recording and, when it comes to where he hangs his (that) hat, he now lives in Ruidoso, New Mexico.

Sam Barlow and his True Blue Band are an absolute must see. Sam's an amazing guitarist, a multi faceted musician who plays more than just the guitar while his band mates are also multi instrumentalists and huge talents themselves.

Sam recently got into a song writing contest sponsored by the Blues Foundation and made the semi finals.

I always love seeing local artists, "Local Locos" as I coined them years ago, do well. At any level and toward any end. Hopefully, Sam and Company will be the next El Paso musicians to show the rest of the world how we do things in the 915.
