I know these crazy times have us all a little tense but, let's keep those tempers in check, huh??

An El Pasoan was arrested Thursday evening on several charges after an altercation with El Paso Police Officers which, allegedly, included the driver ramming El Paso police cars and an attempt at striking an EPPD officer.

El Paso Police Department officers responded to a call Thursday evening at El Paso Draft House, 1798 George Dieter Drive, at around 11 pm. There, Patrick Von Ballester, 26, was arrested on charges of aggravated assault on a public servant, evading arrest with a vehicle, and on three traffic warrants. (El Paso Times) According to an El Paso Times article:

Police had been dispatched on a call of a disturbance when an officer tried to stop Ballester in the parking lot. Ballester allegedly drove his vehicle in reverse "narrowly missing the officer," a police news release stated. Ballester then allegedly rammed a patrol car, hit another vehicle and then struck the patrol car a second time before driving away, police said. - El Paso Times

The El Paso Times article also said that security camera footage shows Ballester strike the police car hard enough that it actually moves the police car. Ballester was ultimately taken into custody by the El Paso Police Departments'  Gang Unit along with several members of the United States Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force as well as officers from the Texas Department of Public Safety.

His bonds were set at $45,306.
