Last Thursday, April 28 Deftones fans in El Paso, Juarez, and Las Cruces took a road trip to Albuquerque, New Mexico for a concert. It was the concert Deftones and Gojira fans had been waiting for what felt like a lifetime to see at Isleta Amphitheater.

Deftones had been rescheduling the tour since their original tour dates kept changing due to the pandemic. But thankfully, Deftones and Gojira fans were thankful for the tour to go down this year instead of having to wait another year.

As a parent, I wanted my daughter's first concert to be Deftones and have been looking forward to this moment to come. I even went as far as buying her special headphones in case her ears were sensitive to the loud sounds.

If you attended then you know how insane the lines were at the merch booth which took up a lot of time. But come to my surprise my daughter Izzy definitely rocked out to the last few songs we were able to catch from Gojira.

Unfortunately, Izzy enjoyed the lights and sounds for a little until she had knocked out sick. It was surprising considering how close we were and how loud the show was that she could sleep through the entire noisy set from Deftones.

But in Izzy's and Deftones defense, she hadn't napped at all and crashed right at the beginning of Deftones show. You can see it for yourself by checking out my YouTube video directly above.

Now I definitely enjoyed most of the concert off of my phone but did manage to capture some moments on camera. You can check them out below.
