El Paso has seen an increase in counterfeit money recently.

The El Paso Police Department and the U.S. Secret Service are warning people to be extra careful with cash transactions. Crimestoppers of El Paso posted this warning on Facebook:

Genuine U.S. currency will never have the words “For Motion Picture Use Only,” nor have Chinese or Cyrillic (Russian letters) anywhere. Counterfeit U.S. currency can come in a variety of formats. However, the El Paso regional area is being hit hard by counterfeits with these hallmarks.

Really? Those things got past someone? Seems weird but, in the rush of a busy day, it's easy to just take things for granted. Also, dark environments like bars, nightclubs, concert venues, theaters, etc, can make it harder to spot minor differences. Take a few extra seconds to look over your cash so you don't get burned.
