Celebrate Free Comic Book Day With Events At Local Comic Shops

May 3rd is FREE Comic Book Day! Make sure to head out to your local comic shops and pick up a free comic. Some local comic stores are celebrating the day with giveaways, discounts and Batman!

There are tons of great comic shops here in El Paso and Las Cruces but I could only find some info on events for Free Comic Day! If you know any other shop, let me know the info for the big day!

Many people look forward to the first Saturday in May to snag free comics and to feel free to wear tights in front of strangers. Nerds unite in celebrating Free Comic Book Day by shopping for more comics and toys than they need.

Not only does it bring out comic lovers but it helps local comic shops get more exposure and connect with the community. That's the beauty of the comic community, it brings all kinds of people together to share in the awesomeness of heroes.

Some local comic stores will be having special events going on to celebrate. Black Sheep Comics will have giveaways including a tattoo voucher for a $50 comic themed 2"x 2" tattoo done at Red Skull Tattoos! I know I am going to try to snag me one of those! Batman and Batgirl will also be at the shop to take photos!

All Star Comics & Games will be celebrating with a canned food drive, hosted by the gorgeous El Paso Cosplay Girls!

Daxie Boy Toys will also give you the chance to meet a gorgeous cosplayer,
Kirika Yashida! They will also have sales, giveaways and surprises.
