One of my favorite events for you and your dog is coming up this weekend! Grab your dog and his life vest, if necessary, and check out Dog Swim Day.

The El Paso Parks and Recreation Department are once again having their annual Dog Swim Day this Saturday and Sunday at the Nations Tobin Aquatic Center in the Northeast. The Nations Tobin Aquatic Center is located at 8831 Railroad Dr.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with the cost of admission only $2! Just make sure you bring a copy of your dog’s shot record to be allowed into the pool area. Dogs must be current for their rabies, distemper and parvo vaccinations. You MUST bring your paper records to show proof, collar tags will not be enough.

This event is always fun for dogs and owners alike! There is a large pool that dogs can jump into and even a splash pool for smaller doggies. There are also lots of fun water activities you can enjoy with your dog. Come out to a water area that has lots for both you and your dog to do. From a shady grassy area, fun different sized pools and even a diving board you and your dog are bound to have a good time. There will be fun contests for your dog to participate in including Prettiest Dog Swimwear, Longest Doggie Leap and a whole lot more!

This event always brings out fun people and their dogs of all shapes and sizes. You are welcome to bring snacks, water and goodies for your dogs to enjoy while you splash around for a few hours.
