Hipsters around the world beware! The newest, coolest gadget out there may not be a good match with your fashionable tight pants!

Social media is abuzz with iPhone 6 Plus owners sharing photos of their brand new BENT iPhone 6 Plus. Many are saying that the phones didn't bend in their back pocket, they are actually claiming they have had their phone in their FRONT pocket and it bent.

But is it true?

Here is one online complaint about the bending of the new iPhone 6 Plus:

Yesterday, I left at 10am with the iPhone in my left FRONT pocket of my suit pants. I drove 4 hours to a wedding, which also involved a lot of sitting during dinner etc but also 2-3 hours of dancing. I left at 2am and went to bed, driving home 4 hours back.

So in total, the 6 Plus was about 18 hours in my pocket while sitting mostly.

As I lay it on the coffee table and sat down on the couch to relax from the drive (yes, sitting again ), I saw the reflection of the window in the iPhones slightly distorted.

Because the phones are in the front pockets, many are claiming that maybe the iPhone user's pants are too tight. With the fashion right now being tight pants on both men and women, this could be the case.

After the many online complaints, Luke from the Youtube channel Unbox Therapy decided to put #BendGate to the test. Sadly for the iPhone fans out there, the phone did indeed bend. Pretty severely too. On the online forum MacRumors, one iPhone user said

"Thinner phone made of aluminum which is a malleable metal. Can't say that I'm surprised. Disappointed yes, surprised no."

The moral of the story? Either get a purse, or put the phone in your shirt pocket. Or risk having a bent phone when you stand up.
