El Paso talent is putting the Sun City on the map! We have not only one, but TWO very talented local artists competing in the show.

We thought we got lucky having one El Paso tattoo artist on the new season of Ink Master, but now, we got word there are actually TWO talented men competing on the Spike television series.

This season revolves around the Mentor vs. Apprentice. Mat Valles of Blue Panda Tattoo in El Paso is the mentor, while Brian Stephens of Dapper Ink is the apprentice. Mat is the owner of Blue Panda Tattoo at 11675 Montwood Dr, Suite 1A. Check out some of Mat's other work on his Instagram VALLESTATTOO. You can also see Mat in a five page spread in the new issue of Freshly Inked Magazine.

Ink Master, the successful series on the Spike TV network, brought in an average of 2.1 million views for every episode last season, the most-watched season in the show's history. Filming for the 6th season of the show began earlier this year, and now the new season of Ink Master will premiere Tuesday, June 23rd at 10/9c.

Ink Master puts tattoo artists through challenges that judge their on-the-spot creativity, technical skills and original tattoo creations on what the show calls "human canvases." Each episode focuses on different styles of tattooing like geometric, neo-traditional, Asian, realism, cover ups, portraits and more. The competitors' work is then judged by Dave Navarro (Jane's Addiction), Oliver Peck (Elm Street Tattoo) and Chris Nunez (Miami Ink).
