AMC’s ‘Humans’ Set For Early 2017 Release in US

If you were a fan of Ex Machina, the AMC show Humans is right up your alley. If you haven't see Ex Machina, go watch it. It's one of the best movies of the past 5 years. Now Humans expands on the whole AI issue.

The show explores the social, cultural, and psychological impact of full AI robots. In the show they're called "synths". The first season of the series was 8 episodes, and only got better from episode from episode. I randomly stumbled on the show one weekend when I had nothing to and got hooked immediately.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, AI in real life is a bigger issue than most people think. Because right now we still have control. But there's a reason some of the smartest people on the planet are calling for regulation and rules when it comes to AI.

But anyway, back to Humans. The first season aired on AMC last year during the summer, but unfortunately it looks like we're a bit further away from the second season. They didn't start filming it until April or this year. So it will be released late this year in the UK, and we'll get it here in the states early next year.
