Eastsiders can start rejoicing about their upcoming Alamo Drafthouse location that is being built now. Alamo Drafthouse's Westside location will be re-opening a little later this month. But as for the Eastside location, it should be opening this fall. The new Alamo Drafthouse will be stationed at Monteverde which is close to Loop 375 and Pellicano Drive. Since they have re-opened the construction site for this new location recently far Eastsiders will have a theater of their own. Residents that live in Horizon City would have to make quite the drive to see a flick at the theater. There are a couple of locations that are somewhat close to where they live. The two closest movie theaters would be Tinseltown off Gateway East by George Dieter or the Cinemark located at Joe Battle and Montana. Those two are still kind of distant for Horizon City residents. But this fall that will all change.

Alamo Drafthouse's Eastside location is set to open this November. I honestly was thinking they would open by next year but to hear it will be sooner than I thought is exciting news. When they do open their doors they will plan on following safety guidelines to protect their guests. They will enforce guests to wear their masks at all times unless you're eating or drinking. Not only that to practice social distancing they will leave two empty seats between each group. Now any far Eastside residents can rejoice about some good news for this 2020 year. I know some friends who live in that area that are glad they don't have to make that distant drive just to see a movie.
