Come out to White Sands for the Balloon Invitational Flights and Glow at the national park in September.

The White Sands Balloon Invitational (WSBI) committee is hosting this year's balloon flights and glow September September 17th and 18th at White Sands National Monument and Balloon Park in Alamogordo, New Mexico.

The flights will happen Saturday and Sunday morning, the only entry fee is the $5 one to get into the White Sands National Monument. The Balloon Glow will happen at the Balloon Park on LaVelle Road in Alamogordo, New Mexico.

The White Sands National Monument is located 19955 Highway 90 W in Alamogordo, New Mexico. If you've never been to White Sand before, here's what you're in for according to the website:

"Rising from the heart of the Tularosa Basin is one of the world's great natural wonders - the glistening white sands of New Mexico. Great wave-like dunes of gypsum sand have engulfed 275 square miles of desert, creating the world's largest gypsum dunefield. White Sands National Monument preserves a major portion of this unique dunefield, along with the plants and animals that live here."
