State and federal offices as well as banks and credit unions will be closed Monday, September 3, in observance of Labor Day. The Post Office will not be open and there will not be any mail delivery. Locally, the following will be closed:

● All public schools
● The University of Texas at El Paso
● El Paso Community College
● Southwest University

Sun Metro

Sun Metro's fixed-route will run on a Sunday schedule. Brio service as well as Routes 90, 91, 92, and 93 will not be operating as these routes do not normally run on Sundays or holidays.

Sun Metro customer service line for fixed routes will work on a Sunday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The administrative offices (10151 Montana), the Eastside Transfer Center ticket office (1165 Sunmount), the Robert E. McKee Five Points Transfer Center ticket office (2830 Montana Ave.), and the Bert Williams Downtown Santa Fe Transfer Center ticket office (601 Santa Fe) will be closed.

Parks and Recreation

Senior Centers, Pre-school, and Daycare Operations, CLOSED. Only the following Rec Centers will be OPEN:

● Armijo, 700 E. 7th - 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
● Leona F. Washington, 3400 E. Missouri St. – 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
● Galatzan, 650 Wallenberg Dr. - 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
● Gary Del Palacio, 3001 Parkwood St. - 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
● Marty Robbins, 11620 Vista Del Sol Dr. - 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
● Pavo Real, 9301 Alameda - 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
● Veterans, 5301 Salem St. - 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Open

● City pools and Aquatic Centers
● Animal Services Center 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

If you’re planning on shopping or dining out, most stores, restaurants, shopping centers, and malls will remain open. However, some may be operating on holiday schedule with limited or reduced hours of operation. Call to confirm before heading out.
