Riot Fest always books some universal feel-good bands and this year that band was disco legends and authors of the iconic hits "Y.M.C.A." and "Macho Man," the Village People. Fans ate it up, orchestrated a wall of death and a circle pit during the respective songs.

We don't care what kind of music fan you are — if the "Y.M.C.A." comes on, your body will inevitably start moving and before you know it, your hands are higher than your head, forming those four letters.

Those at Riot Fest weren't content to just simply mimic a decades-old dance. No, the Village People's set needed something brutal and as the chorus hit, the two lines of fans that had been loosely holding since the beginning of the song finally collided. The lyric, "I said young man, pick yourself off the ground," was never more befitting.

Although it didn't last long, a circle pit formed in the crowd as the Village People led a rapid "Hey!" chant leading into "Macho Man," a perfectly ironic song to try to lay your claim to being pit boss.
