What better way to call attention to the global plight of the poor than by protesting….while topless?

A trio of female Ukrainian protestors did just that on Saturday in the Swiss resort town of Davos. They protested topless and in freezing temperatures, so the “headlights” were undoubtedly on and likely grabbing even more attention.

The topless threesome attempted to crash the World Economic Forum, an invite-only gathering where CEOs and political leaders congregated. They shed their shirts and tried to climb a fence. A message was painted across one of the women’s chests, baring the phrase”Crisis! Made in Davos.” Hey, if you’re going to drop your top in blustery weather to make a point, you may as well make use of all your bodily real estate.

According to the Huffington Post, the three women were arrested and taken to the police station, where they were informed they were not allowed to demonstrate. They were due for release that same day.

This gives whole new meaning to the “show us your cans” mob mentality that arises at concerts and sporting events. On the upside, it should certainly increase male participation at protests, right? If there’s a chance you can see boobs, why not?

“What’s your cause? It doesn’t matter, you’re topless, I’m in!”
