I've always enjoyed The Twilight Zone. I watched a lot of (what is now considered) classic TV when I was younger. One would say that my love of shows like Bewitched and The Munsters are to blame for my love of all things spooky. The Twilight Zone, though, was something completely different. Although some episodes of the series were spooky, what the show really did was open your mind and make you reflect; who's to say that a gremlin on the wing of an airplane isn't possible? I'm sure for many, Rod Serling's narration was enough to give you chills.

Now lovers of the classic TV show can rejoice and come together for the 60th anniversary celebration. Fathom Events and CBS hope to take fans of the series to another dimension when they screen six quintessential episodes on the big screen in more than 600 theaters nationwide. On November 14th, though, El Pasoans can enter the fifth dimension at Cinemark 20 & XD (formerly known as Tinseltown) on the east side where you'll be able to enjoy the six episodes with other lovers of the show. The episodes you'll get are:

  • “Walking Distance” (original airdate: October 30, 1959)
  • “Time Enough at Last” (original airdate: November 20, 1959)
  • “The Invaders” (original airdate: January 27, 1961)
  • “The Monsters are Due on Maple Street” (original airdate: March 4, 1960)
  • “Eye of the Beholder” (original airdate: November 11, 1960)
  • “To Serve Man” (original airdate: March 2, 1962).

It's a total run time of three hours, which isn't bad considering lots of us sat that long for Avengers: Endgame. Tickets for the event are on sale now. The event starts at 7 P.M.

Make plans to attend "The Twilight Zone: A 60th Anniversary Celebration" on November 14 at Cinemark 20 & XD at 11855 Gateway Boulevard West. You can buy tickets for the event here.
