As if hourly gun fights, prostitutes, rampant hallucinogenic drug use, gambling and the occasional Indian uprising weren't enough to make the cities PR guy quit ...

It was huge, the damage was massive, at least 2 people died and many were injured during this Texas train crash ... and it was done deliberately.

There are only a few states that are instantly recognizable by their shape alone, Texas being the most identifiable one. It didn't start out looking that way though.

The short answer is, basically, because El Pasoans don't like being told what to do.
