Dallas-Fort Worth, (DFW), International Airport is the 3rd busiest airport in the world and one of the biggest. (You could fit all of Manhattan Island within its footprint.) It's also one you're most likely to get held up in.
Texas has earned a number of appearances in the Guinness Book Of World Records and we're about to add yet another. This one, I must admit, I would have never thought about as a record setting thing.

Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio is kinda just a big collection of rollercoasters. They have several other rides and attractions though for Texas thrill seekers and also, when I went anyway, minimal wait times.
You now need a Real ID to do several things including travel by air. You aren't totally hosed if you haven't gotten one yet though, there are ways to get around this. Several other documents will work if you don't yet have the new "Real ID".

If you want some super glamorous spot for your visit to the land of enchantment, you have lots of choices but if you want to do something different and make some odd memories, there are plenty of options there too.
Take 3 or 4 friends with you and you could elect yourself mayor. The visitors to residents ratio in this tiny, yet famous, Texas town is 50,000 to 3. On any given day, there may be 100 or more visitors in town to have a beer and catch one of the almost constant concerts while weekend music festivals can draw over 1,000.
For decades, Southwest was the cool airline; not charging extra fees for bags, flight changes or early boarding. That's pretty much all gone as they've gone from rogue airline to just another airline.
