Slayer, Lamb Of God, Anthrax, Testament and Behemoth and more are rumored to be touring this summer together and it looks like we may have seen the first date!
Testament‘s legendary frontman Chuck Billy was the guest on Full Metal Jackie’s radio show this past weekend. Billy discussed the band’s post-'Dark Roots of Thrash' promotion plans, their fall 2013 trek with Lamb of God, Killswitch Engage and Huntress, and plenty more. If you missed Full Metal Jackie’s show, check out her full interview with Testament's Chuck Billy:
It's bound to be one of the top tours of the fall, as Lamb of God and Killswitch Engage are teaming up for a co-headlining trek. As if that weren't enough, they'll be joined by thrash metal vets Testament and one of the hottest up-and-coming bands in metal -- Huntress. Loudwire and Noisecreep are teaming up with the bands to bring you a prize package featuring items from all four acts on the trek.
Is it wrong to be this excited over a tribute to one of pop music's biggest all-time artists? We don't think so, as some of metal and rock's most celebrated musicians have come together for one common purpose: paying tribute to the late Michael Jackson.
Van Halen have released their first new album since the failed experiment with Gary Cherone in the 90's, and it's called "A Different Kind of Truth". Pick it up now, there are a lot of old style songs on there (since the story is they've taken a lot of old demos and reworked them for the CD).
The really good news is they're touring, and things haven't imploded yet!
Last night, Feb. 8, in New York City, Anthrax, Testament and Death Angel closed out their awesome thrash trek at the Best Buy Theater in Times Square. This tour was truly a thrashers paradise, bringing together a lineup of legendary acts which for many can rival the excitement for a ‘Big 4′ show.
Thrash titans Testament recently unveiled some in-depth info about their next studio album. Decibel had the chance to interview one of the biggest voices in metal, Testament’s Chuck Billy, about the band’s upcoming album ‘The Dark Roots of Earth’ and the lyrical concepts that will be found within.
